Good evening 2nd Grade Crew families,

We sure hope you are enjoying your weekend with your families! What an amazing week we had this week during our Swimming field trip. Our Grade 2's did an excellent job at representing Andrew Sibbald School at Canyon Meadows Pool. They loved having the opportunity to ride a yellow school bus, for some of our kiddos this was a first time experience!

Huge thank you again to all our parent volunteers who were able to make this happen for our students.

In math we worked on addition and subtracting numbers to 100 including using word problems.

In Social Studies we started a new unit, and are away to Meteghan and get to visit the Acadian communities!

In writing we wrote stories focusing on incorporating using a beginning, middle and ending.

We also spent some time talking about all the ways we can take care of our Earth and recognizing that it is Earth day this weekend!

A large part of our learning goals were spent this week at the Pool. Student learning intentions this week were:

I can show behaviours that support participation, safety and participant enjoyment

I can participate in physical activities that requires various levels of exertion and enery.

I can show positive interactions with others during physical activity

I can show appropriate preparation for and recovery from physical activity.

I can participate in physical activities that can provide personal enjoyment.

I can refine my movement skills in relation to people or objects in a variety of physical activities.

We hope you have all had a great weekend with your families :) See you all on Monday!
