Hi Sibbald Families,

What a wonderful week we have had. Students have continued to investigate Place Value and Representing Numbers in Math.  They first investigated this topic with the use of straws and a place value mat. They learned that ten ones can be bundled into a group of ten and ten tens can be bundled into a group of one hundred!

Students then used base ten blocks to build and represent numbers.

They were given a problem to solve - they had six base ten blocks and needed to use them to show a variety of numbers.

I can name place value up to 1000.

I can represent numbers in numerals.
