Hi Grade Two Families,

What a fun week we had! It was Sports Day week and each day, students participated in an event that fostered team work, school spirit and fun! There were events such as javelin throw and relay races. We finished the week off with a pancake breakfast and Sports Day stations outside. Students dressed up in their best Western gear and went outside for stations run by Grade 5 students. We are so thankful that the weather and the air quality cooperated. Ask your child to tell you about their favourite part of Sports Day.

Students investigated insects further this week. They learned about the amazing ways insects use camouflage as a way to avoid predators and lure their prey.

In math, students collected data and organized the data in pictographs.

Students created artwork for their fathers. Happy Father's Day to all of the dads of Grade Two students! Hope you have a wonderful day.
